Oral care for special needs groups can be difficult to provide. Understanding the special considerations involved in looking after someone's teeth is vital. This course gives you the knowledge and skills to help special groups in caring for their teeth and oral cavity.
The course covers general oral care and looks at special groups such as the elderly, Dementia patients and people with learning difficulties. This online course offers practical skills, guidance and advice to increase your confidence in caring for these individuals. Through a series of videos, we will look at how to maintain someones oral health and overcome barriers you may face.
You will have the opportunity to test your knowledge throughout with short questions and consolidate your knowledge with a test at the end of the course.
This course comes with 2.0 hours of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 1 hour and 3 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.
